The fifth round of Pro14 clash between Benetton Treviso and Munster scheduled to be played at Stadio Comunale Monigo on Saturday has been postponed.
The decision follows after three players from Treviso squad were tested positive for Covid-19 in the latest round of testing.
This is the second Pro14 game involving Benetton that was postponed following their encounter against Connacht scheduled last weekend that was cancelled following a “small number of isolated positive cases of Covid-19”.
“The game was due to take place on Saturday, November 7 in Treviso, however, Benetton have reported that three players have returned positive cases of Covid-19 and that four other players identified as close contacts are now isolating.
“Having considered all of the available evidence, the PRO14 Rugby Medical Advisory Group has deemed that this fixture cannot go ahead as scheduled.
“PRO14 Rugby will examine potential dates in early 2021 to reschedule the game.”
Benetton Treviso are at the bottom of the Conference B table after losing all their three games in the tournament.
