Worcester Warriors have confirmed the signing of Bath Academy prop Kieran Verden on a short-term loan deal.
The 22-year-old captained the Bath Academy during the 2016/17 season and his consistent performances saw him claim a place in England Under 18 side for their summer tour of South Africa.
His Premiership debut for Bath came against Worcester Warriors in September.
With the Warriors missing the services of Nick Schonert, Richard Palframan and Joe Morris, Verden has a possibility to feature for them in the European Challenge Cup opener against Pau.
Worcester Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons is confident that Verden’s inclusion will be beneficial to the squad as they head into the European Challenge Cup competition.
“We are very appreciative for Bath loaning Kieran Verden,” said Solomons to the official website of the club.
“Kieran is a good young prospect who has slotted in well here and I’m sure that he will give a good account of himself at the weekend.”
