Ealing Trailfinders have confirmed the signing of lock Bobby de Wee from Southern Kings.
“I’m truly ecstatic to have signed with a club of this magnitude and I’ll be looking to contribute as much as I can on and off the pitch,” said de Wee.
The 26-year-old is a product of Bulls Academy and made his senior debut with Golden Lions in 2014 and went on to make his debut for Southern Kings in 2017. He has made 26 appearances for the Kings in Pro14 and now heads to Ealing Trailfinders.
“Bobby is someone we have been looking at for a long time and it is great to have secured his services,” said director of rugby Ben Ward to the club’s official website.
His ball-carrying will add another dimension to our attack, and his physicality in defence is a real asset for us.
“He has played consistently at the top level so we can’t wait to see him put on the Green and White shirt.”
Ealing Trailfinders take on Saracens in the opening match of the Trailfinders Challenge Cup on Saturday with the Championship season suspended until the first week of March due to Covid-19.
