Australia and South Africa to face Scotland in 2021 November series

Scotland will lock horns with World Champions South Africa and Australia in their autumn international fixtures for 2021.

The games will take place on the weekends of 6th, 13th and 20th December with the third side to face the Dark Blues yet to be decided.

The Wallabies are currently coached by Dave Rennie, who was in charge of Glasgow Warriors previously after Gregor Townsend became the head coach of Scotland. Scotland have defeated Australia in their last two encounters that came in 2017 in Sydney and Edinburgh but the Wallabies enjoy a better head to head record with 21 wins from 32 matches.

“The Autumn Nations Cup has been a great way for international rugby to resume in these difficult time,” said Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend.

“Fans, players and coaches will be looking forward to next year when Scotland face southern hemisphere opposition in Australia and the current world champions, South Africa at Murrayfield.

“The Autumn Internationals in 2021 will be another opportunity for our players to represent their country, hopefully with our fans in attendance, and provides the team with a different challenge and exciting challenge as a result.”

Scotland will face Ireland on Saturday for the third place play-off battle in the Autumn Nations Cup in Lansdowne Road.
