Rugby Rumours: Shark swims south, Springbok safe-haven, Ngatai’s French side and Cokanasiga in demand

Shark swims south:

The 23 year-old Sale Sharks’ full-back Mike Haley recently made his 100th appearance for the club, despite only being in his early 20s.

On the cusp of a couple England training squads with Eddie Jones‘, Haley chances could improve with a change of scenery down with Exeter Chiefs.

Springbok safe-haven:

The change at Gloucester since Ackermann‘s takeover is not only apparent in the brand of rugby they play, but also the personnel on their radar.

With the departure of John Afoa, head coach Johan Ackermann is looking to bring in fellow Sprinbok, 27 year-old Ruan Dreyer from the Lions.

Ngatai’s French side:

All Black centre Charlie Ngatai has confirmed he will leave Chiefs for the Top14 at the end of the Super Rugby season.

An amazing age group player, Ngatai has battled with concussion issues, and looks to further his career over in France with Lyon or Toulouse.

Cokanasiga in demand:

Power house Joe Cokanasiga is a very special talent on the wings for London Irish, despite his side currently sitting at the foot of the Premiership table.

He has all the potential to make it onto the international scene, but needs a club to provide that platform… frontrunners are Bath and Harlequins.
